OVERVIEW
AB-Access consists of fixed broadband wireless access equipment for Internet, data, multimedia, video, voice, and other emerging IP and ATM based applications. Combining Time Division Duplexing, patent pending Axxcelera Broadband Packet-on-Demand technology and true point-to-multipoint functionality, AB-Access provides a robust, cost-effective alternative to wired alternatives such as T1, DSL and cable modems.

Low cost Agility – AB-Access™ supports numerous topologies including Ethernet routing and bridging as well as ATM switching. Choose ATM or Ethernet interfaces on either or both the basestation AP and customer premise SU. Manage bandwidth to/from each SU. Deploy using frequencies from the entire U-NII and 5GHz ISM spectrum. Select from various modulations and antenna polarization all in an extremely low-latency, low cost, easy to deploy product.

AB-ACCESS SPECTRUM
AB-Access has been successfully deployed for several years and isreadily available to be deployed in networks worldwide today. ABAccess operates in the 325 MHz spectrum as specified in theunlicensed 5 GHz U-NII and 5.8 GHz ISM bands.

PROVISIONING
Static provisioning of AB-Access units can be accomplished througheither the command line interface or by copying one or moreconfiguration files to the unit. Interactive provisioning of the ABAccess units requires the addition of the Element Manager Server(EMS) and Control Server (CS). The EMS and CS softwareapplications run on one or more Linux servers and provide not onlysupport for provisioning but also monitor the status and alarms ofthe units (including static units).

CELLSITE COMPONENTS
  • One or more environmentally sealed Access Points (AP), eachwith an integrated 60° by 7° beam width patch antenna
  • Six Access Points provide 360° geographic coverage
  • ATM switch or Ethernet switch or router
  • Backhaul equipment such as that offered by Axxcelera
  • Other third party equipment as required
